Roses are red,
When they’re alive and when they’re dead,
Yet their beauty never dies.
One of my favorite things about crafting is that you can take almost anything and make it into something special. My newest crafts are proof of that. For Valentine’s Day this year, Jonathan gave me a beautiful boutique of roses. I’m not a huge flower person. I don’t get flowers often, nor do I expect to get them often. However, recently, I’ve teased him about how he never buys flowers for me. Naturally, he came through.
As the pedals began to wilt, I thought about how I could extend the roses’ lifespan. The answer? Crafting. I purchased a couple of shadow boxes and a few wooden shapes. With some glue and a lot of patience, I repurposed my roses so I can admire them for the rest of my life.
